"tsunagu" is a textile patch pieces made out from recycled textiles. Collecting mix fiber textile waste, which material recycling is limited, reflecting a lack of technologies for sorting and separating blended fibers.Those non-recyclable material goes to landfill, impacting environment. How can we take responsibility of those mix fiber materials have already been produced and sold in the market? This project explores practice of re-using fabric, not just method of extending material life, but also creating deeper level of attachment to material making into one of kind, beyond the appearance.
